Romance story structure is my favorite story structure to work with in fiction. I love the push and pull of romance, the quintessential happy ending, and watching the characters evolve into better versions of their former selves. I particularly enjoy strong female characters who have overcome hardship and learned to embrace both their strength and vulnerability. I also enjoy alpha male characters who reveal their soft spots, as well as progressive male characters who can hold space for emotions and sensitivity. Witnessing characters transform through the power of self-love, community, and relationships is the ultimate gratification.

  • RoadMap Outline For Romance

    $1,500

    • Feel empowered writing your manuscript knowing the direction your headed.

    • Feel less overwhelmed by taking manageable and prioritized steps to craft a strong first draft.

    • Gain clarity with a map showing you all parts of the whole.

This roadmap leaves room for discovery while also creating parameters so you write with purpose. It works for plotters and pantsers and is intended as a helpful guide, not an inflexible doctrine.

Like planning a road trip, you have a chosen route (narrative arc) where side excursions (new ideas) are welcome. The goal is to stay in-state (focused) and not travel cross-country (material that doesn’t serve the story).

The romance roadmap includes signposts showing the natural progression of meet-cutes, push and pull, drawn together, torn apart, and the happily ever after.

If you already have a first draft, this roadmap is helpful for tightening up your story and getting it ready for revision.

    Includes:

    Six 1-hour meetings via Zoom

Deadlines to keep you accountable and on track

Ongoing feedback and support through email

Curated educational writing resources to help you write your romance

    Time Frame: 12-weeks
